Project HOPE volunteers arrived in Hanoi Airport in Vietnam on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, to begin a month long medical mission onboard the USNS Mercy and ashore in Vietnam and then Cambodia. 25 HOPE volunteers, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and medical students are participating in the first rotation of the U.S. Navy’s 2010 Pacific Partnership humanitarian mission.
