Dr. Michael Polifka is a six time volunteer for Project HOPE. The ER physician from North Adams Regional Hospital in Massachusetts is now working in Ghana with 11 other medical volunteers from Project HOPE, treating patients and mentoring health professionals. This is Dr. Polifka's second time to Ghana as a Project HOPE volunteer. Last year, he served on a similar mission as Chief Medical Officer. When he returned, he taped a segment with ReachMD XM Radio.
