Second Team of Volunteers Arrives in Liberia
After nearly 24 hours or more of travel, we’ve finally arrived in Africa. We encountered snow showers in Germany and Visa challenges in Belgium. We landed and took off eight times today, made long runs through unfamiliar foreign airports to catch connecting flights. We somehow made it to Liberia all together about 7:30 tonight, though some of our luggage was not as lucky. Still through the challenges and adventures of travel, the volunteers have remained enthusiastic and ready to get to work as soon as possible. Tomorrow morning we will tour the JFK Hospital and volunteers will be assigned counterparts.
